Andrea Halpern received her training at Brandeis University (B.A. in Psychology, Summa cum Laude with Highest Honors in Psychology, in 1978) and Stanford University (PhD inPsychology in 1982). Since 1995 she is Professor of Psychology at Bucknell University at Lewisburg, Pennsylvania (USA).

A Visiting Professor at several prestigious institutions such

as Durham University, University of Maryland, Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London (UK), University of Texas at Dallas Visiting Professor of Neurology, Harvard Medical School, UCLA, Montreal Neurological Institute and University of Montreal (Canada) she is regularly invited at important conferences and seminars in the US and Europe.

 

Andrea Halpern is also a passionate singer with experience in all major musical styles.

David Huron is Academy Professor Emeritus at the Ohio State University.

Originally from Canada, Dr. Huron trained as a performer and worked as a composer for a number of years before turning to music research.

Over the course of his career, Huron has produced nearly 200 scholarly publications.

​

He is recipient of a number of awards, including the Society for Music Perception and Cognition's lifetime Achievement Award, the Society for Music Theory's Lifetime Membership Award, and a Fulbright Scholar award
